Hi, I am Geoff Blake and welcome to “Total Training” for Microsoft Office 2007 Workflow. For the past ten years, I have been teaching classes and showing people just like you how to get more and more out of the software they use everyday. When I am not teaching, I am doing a lot of freelance print design, web design, multimedia production and writing. Most recently, I have written a book called “Ten Ton Dreamweaver.” In other words, I do not see myself as an instructor who is steep in the world of academia. I am a software user much like yourself. This opens the door for me to show you practical, real world tips and tricks to help you get more productivity on a day by day basis out of your new Office 2007 tools. As for Office 2007, the 12th version of Office, it has been given a complete facelift. Microsoft has developed what they call a results oriented interface. While it may take some time to get used to, once you are up to speed, you will work faster than you have ever been able to before. So, we are ready to get started. In this lesson, we will take you through the basics of Word 2007 including working with words, new ribbon interface, the office menu and some other good stuff. Once you are comfortable with the new interface working into text formatting, working with styles and proofing your work. So let us begin.
