Jamie Aston's Wedding Flowers

Jamie gives a quick tour of his fabulous world of flowers!

I’m Jamie Aston and I have been working now for myself for the past—almost four years. And we do an average about 18 to 25 weddings a year, which we have all over Europe and even the States. So most brides would go for the classic white and green leaves, which are over here that going raised it, should be very, very difficult for most weddings in the bridal flowers and buttonhole is always the pairings somewhere. You got the frogeyes here I think whites are great scent creating an old fashion looking flowers. And the lilac which just there to the left which is very pretty but actually it has a kind of very much a bad-luck meaning to it since some brides who are superstitious whenever, ever choose that flower. And mixing the lime green there with flowers like blue hydrazine as you can see here a bright from a strong blue and hot pink rancorous here. it’s a real kind of, kind of classy combination, I guess for this quite particularly to kind of combine color such as the light green, with that soft blues and the hot pinks here and it was going to pastel pinks together as well and stocks you see here. It would be quite a exciting combination with your guest that comes to the wedding and what they expect to see, I guess they're looking to see personality if they're tired running through the whole day and that completes the flowers too. And if you're really kind of bold personality it makes sense to have three both flowers that actually are classy and work for the venue and work for your personality and bring it all together. And it can be quite shocking you can create a lot with bright flowers and you kind of water and you can do all kinds of wonderful things to get near of that. And when it comes to budgets and what brides allow for her flower budget out of a hell of budget wedding. A very reason on what they're trying to achieve on the day and on the venue as well, it was an amazing venue that its very all negative it doesn’t always need tons of flowers and its very rustic, it can be very simple at glance. You can go kind of grace and simple bottles of flowers, so it depends on the venue and on what they probably would have, I mean what they're trying to achieve. And the biggest dilemma for our brides when it comes to their flower choices and the design of their wedding. in first its confidence, they're not sure on the ideas they have if they're going to work and that sort of ways the biggest issue to kind of overcome, they come here to be reassured in someway. And often their ideas are very good actually and its kind of kick in—they kind of go with them and encourage them to push it. I think also being realistic with their budgets that’s also quite tricky, we try to coach our brides to tell us what they're budget is really, which sound pretty often but actually without knowing what they want to spend in their flowers it really hard to kind of cater for their needs and give them what they want. And I guess the third issue for our brides would be try convey our ideas to them so they could visualized so in the first meeting with the brides do come to you with a kind of a blanc canvas. And they're not sure actually what they want, there is no color, there is no design at all just a venue and a dress. And you got this kind of brides who gives you her style, personal style and you try to kind of give her ideas that would work for her and the venue and make her dreams come true. It think its very important to get the flowers right for your wedding they are there on the table your eating three hours almost and then your face for three hours have to cherish that they're, they're very apparent to file case and for its hands it runs through the whole day, so I think its very important.
