Kirsten Dunst on Lindsay Miller & Directing Kirsten Dunst: I think Ryan is very uncomfortable with the things that he had to do to me specially. I definitely want to direct him--. Lindsay Miller: So I wanted to ask you know this movie is based on a true story, is there more pressure when you are portraying a real person versus a fictional character? Kirsten Dunst: I think it is difficult when everyone knows the person, you know when it is a public figure because then you are more critique. But I think for me it was more making the story very real and not making her a victim because she was a very smart woman. So I didn’t-- that’s mostly what I concentrated on, more than like-- you know I didn’t see family footage of her anything like that. Lindsay Miller: Are you a fan of sort of true crime stories you know the dateline mysteries? Kirsten Dunst: Right. I have watched a couple potential predators. I definitely watch like the CSIs and Law and in orders with my Grandma a lot. I watch one last night. I mean I don’t-- I don’t know, I don’t really like to think I‘d grab a tape towards that specifically but I did after watching, capturing the freedman’s I knew Andrew was like-- that was such a narrative documentary. It felt like an incredible like movie I just thought that the story was pretty, crazy that the skys not the jail after all of the murders you know that have been sued you know. Lindsay Miller: Right, now for Ryan this is not maybe his typical role, it is not a fact leave the notebook for him. So do you think people will be surprised by his performance in this movie? Kirsten Dunst: I think so because I think Ryan is very uncomfortable with the things that he had to do, to me especially in this film. I think that psychologically that like really bothered him at times. So yeah, but I like seeing Ryan as like as crazy. Lindsay Miller: Right, he posts it off. Kirsten Dunst: Absolutely. Lindsay Miller: Yeah, all of the summer. You know we get to show our dark sides, doing that kind of stuff. Kirsten Dunst: Now this is been you know a big year for you. You have a lot of projects on your plate. So is there maybe a most memorable moment of 2010 for you? Lindsay Miller: Well I had quite an interesting summer working for Lars Von Trier. That was really fun. And I think that working on that film has changed my perspective of how -- what I can do one a film set and you know in one way is the blessing and one way I am going to be like “Oh, you are doing close now” like I don’t know we did this because he just follows you around and it’s just a very free until you get very real -- for a lively performances. The same with this actually, it felt very real as well so that was great. Kirsten Dunst: Now last question you have actually taken the seat in the director’s chair recently. So how do you foresee that part of your career going forward? Lindsay Miller: My friends are really great writer. My girl friend Sasha and I think- - I just -- I want to find something that I am passion about and I am not at any rush but I definitely want to direct movies someday.
