Tiffany Young: Hi there, and welcome to Neo-Fight.TV, the technology review with two points of view. My name is Tiffany Young. Ben Freedman: And I am Ben Freedman. And today is Wednesday, September the 13th. I hate when you do that. Tiffany Young: Why? Ben Freedman: I don’t know. I don’t really hate it, I just think it’s odd. Tiffany Young: What? Because I go September 13th, there is something on there? Ben Freedman: Yeah. Tiffany Young: Wait, you shouldn’t even be watching me here, talk about yours. Ben Freedman: And, that’s all. See you folks. Tiffany Young: Yeah, right, have a good day, we’ll see you tomorrow. Ben Freedman: Very interesting today. A very, very high tech gadget. These are land rollers. And I don’t know about you. Do your roller blade? Tiffany Young: I do. Ben Freedman: Right. Now, they only send us one pair of these and they happen to be closer to my size than Tif— Tiffany Young: So Ben got the—of course Ben goes, “Oh, you’re out of the eight, you have to get the elevens,” right? Ben Freedman: You’re an eight. Tiffany Young: I'm an eight. Ben Freedman: Anyway, a shoe manufacturers out there, send eight. I want Tiffany to get the next product, whatever it is. Tiffany Young: Send it in an eight. Ben Freedman: Send it in an eight. Tiffany Young: I will remind you next time you— Ben Freedman: Yes, those rocket pack shoes. Tiffany Young: Right. I get to do the rocket busters, I'm really excited. Ben Freedman: I hate doing that. Tiffany Young: Right. Ben Freedman: Now, take a look at these, this is—again, the boot is very, very similar to a boot you might find on a regular roller blade. Tiffany Young: It looks like more of like a ski boot, combination of ski boot roller blades. Ben Freedman: Ski boot roller blade, but you will notice the obvious different is the lack of the four or five wheels you normally have in a roller blade. Here, you only have these two really big wheels and because they are so big, they actually have to put—let me see if you can see this, at an angle on here or else you’d be like eight inches, you know, off the floor. You’d have to be so high. Tiffany Young: Well, who needs platforms when you have those, right? Ben Freedman: That’s right. So if you take a look, you’ll actually notice rear wheel is bigger than the front wheel. Tiffany Young: May I see it. Ben Freedman: Yeah. And they tilt it so that the shoe is still—you know, the wheels are still under you, you don’t go around like this, you know, with your foot like this. It still feels like you’re supposed to be this way up. Tiffany Young: That’s probably pretty good for off road given the size of the wheels, huh? Ben Freedman: Right. Well, that’s the whole point here. Tiffany Young: Okay. Ben Freedman: I found that, you know, when you roller blade, you feel pretty much every single crack, every crevice. Tiffany Young: Right, every little pebble. Ben Freedman: Every little pebble, that’s right. This thing, you still feel like sticks and stuff if you go over it, but I found that just on a regular road, like a bumpy road, gravely road, not gravel. What do you call? Asphalt road, you can go over it and it feels though quite smooth. Tiffany Young: Great. Ben Freedman: Yeah. Tiffany Young: I want to try these. Ben Freedman: Yeah, we need to get you a pair so you can try it. You’re not going to be able to fit in these things. Tiffany Young: Right. Well, you never know. Ben Freedman: You never know. Except if you put a socks on there. Tiffany Young: Really, really thick socks, right. It’s like a lot of fun. Ben Freedman: I'm experience, I actually found these—you know, I'm not a great roller bladder that’s why I didn’t capture any video footage after all that. I'm not let that go out on the internet. Tiffany Young: I do a fair job, I just needed my size. Ben Freedman: I think you probably do a great job much better than me. I found this actually more stable, I was more comfortable on these than regular roller blades. In fact,, if you have never worn roller blades, I think you’ll have an easier time learning with these than you would with regular roller bladers. Tiffany Young: Well, it’s like training wheels for roller blades. It looks like that. Ben Freedman: And you can go really fast in these, but— Tiffany Young: Nice big break. Ben Freedman: Nice big break on the back, so you can slow down. I found again that it was smooth, it felt more stable, it was easier to maintain control. I think it get some strange looks. Tiffany Young: Oh yeah, that you did. More so than normal? Ben Freedman: At least I can accept myself for that one. I taught you always get strange looks. Tiffany Young: What are you talking about? You got strange looks, like today is like not normal or something, right? Ben Freedman: I really get some strange looks, but you know, I remember when roller blades first came out, if you are worrying me about strange looks, because nobody looks, because nobody else right now— Tiffany Young: Anything new, you get strange looks. And remember one of the segues, all strange looking, like half human, half robot. Ben Freedman: Yeah. Tiffany Young: Or how about the Bluetooth headset that blinks in your ear? Ben Freedman: Yes, the blinking blue ear. Tiffany Young: Yeah, exactly, you know it’s all the same thing, but you know, innovation, cool huh? And the bearings, I mean I'm looking at the, you know, looking at the wheels and the ball bearings, everything is really well put together. Ben Freedman: Everything is the absolute top quality product. Tiffany Young: 200 bucks. Ben Freedman: 200 plus depending on a couple of different options you can get. Tiffany Young: Okay, so you can actually kind of customize it and— Ben Freedman: Yeah, it’s different wheels and stuff. So this is not like roller blades you get— Tiffany Young: Steel toe, it feels like a steel toe? Ben Freedman: Steel toe? Tiffany Young: Yes, steel toe. Ben Freedman: So these are good for your job site, I mean— Tiffany Young: Well, you never know, I mean look, it’s like off road, right? Why not? Ben Freedman: You know, they have video and we’ll show it, they have video of people like actually riding on grass with these. I tried it briefly and found that it’s just— Tiffany Young: On the grass? Ben Freedman: Yeah, not that great. Tiffany Young: Maybe you have to do real grass, not like the—in Arizona. Ben Freedman: Yeah, it has to be just—maybe there is something better than I am. I still don’t think these are for, you know, backyard fun. Tiffany Young: I'm so sorry to see you on these things. Ben Freedman: But I got to tell, more stable than regular roller blades and with these two wheels, and much, much smoother than typical pair of roller blades. Tiffany Young: I want t try them, sounds like a good product. Ben Freedman: Yeah, I would love to get you pair so you can try them too. Ben Freedman: I would give these like a nine out of ten because they are smooth and easier to learn and the only thing is they’re a little pricey but I guess because then by the time it get mass produced, they will come down on price. Tiffany Young: And like set new ratings on my side, right? Ben Freedman: That’s right. Tiffany Young: No rating and my rating is…very nice. Ben Freedman: So that’s something that’s nothing you need to hear from Tiffany and nine out of ten for me. Tiffany Young: Why did I even show up today? What am I here for? Ben Freedman: I don’t know.
