LG Vu - Hands-on

Male 1: Okay this right here is the view. It is a full touch screen device by LG. very much, it’s very easy to navigate through right here your four dots right there by hit that actually pulls up my menu and then I have this tabs on the side that allow me to navigate through the phone. So for example, something that you really need are going here and then I could check out my calendar. I hope that is not it. That’s my calculator so you go ahead and check out the calculator on here. But something that I actually enjoyed on this phone. This is the default screen but if I wanted to, I could go on to my menu, I’ll go to settings and then I'll go to display and I'm going ahead scroll down. I actually tried there shortcut and I turn that on. So now, have a shortcut screen on the front on here and it makes it easier to access and applications. For example, I do a lot of text messaging so if you’d go ahead, hit the text messaging and pull that off. What’s really nice about the text messaging on the phone, I either do T9 with the triple tap method but I like QWERTY’s so I could go ahead at the QWERTY band and upholds up a QWERTY keypad for your text messaging. You could also pull up the QWERTY keypad for surfing the web on here. It has a full HTML web browser so I’ll go ahead and hit media home and then I could go ahead, and enter a URL so here are some different ones so we’ll go to a CNET. So I'll go ahead and it will launch this. Now, I could watch, I could surf the web in this, off the screen lights or once the page loads like you go ahead and launch it and then actually watch it and landscape mode as well, so I have that capability on here. So that kindly gives you a couple of ideas on here. The phone itself, it is touch screen, but it also vibrates whenever you touch it. It has got that active feedback so you know that you’re navigating through the phone. It is a full touch screen so you could actually use it with a stylus or your finger nail, or finger tip so you are not limited to just your fingers. Of course, you would go ahead and scroll through the menu on here. This version right here also has media flow so I‘ll go ahead and launch the TV service but I have an antenna right here; it is strictly designed for the TV service and right now, we’ll go ahead and there is your TV and info media full service. Male 2: Can you just show how you put the generals in? Male 1: It is very easy to do. I tap the middle of the screen; have my error keys up here to go up and down, change the channel or scroll down to know the channel so I got the facts. I could do that all. What else I could do? I have a program guide so I’d pull up the program guide and then from here, I could go ahead and see what else so we’re going to NCAA. So we’ll go and we’ll watch- watch it live NCAA finals for basketball. Male 2: So here’s some thing up but it’s not rich line correct? Male 1: Correct! The antenna is, if you’re in like a the further way you are from the actual media flow network then you’ll want to put the tower up if you’re or the antenna. If you’re right by a tower, you don’t need it. Right now, I'll go ahead and drop the antenna and the service is still good in here so Vegas is lit is pretty well so we still got a good reception on it. Male 2: How many channels are being used in there, initially? Male 1: Right now, with AT&T, they’re probably be around, nine or ten channels at launch. Male 2: Can we go back for a second through the web browser? Male 1: Yup! Definitely. Male 2: And… Male 1: Want to enter URL? Male 2: Yup, It’s already here. We only try to how it is going. The browsers look great. Male 1: The browser is really nice. This handset is a full 3G handset so it’s HSTPA 3.6. So you can literally get burst up to 3.6 max for several data speed on it. Now what’s nice about this handset is you could tie it to a computer and use it as a modem and you could multi-task on it so you could surf the web and talk on the phone at the exact same time. You could also listen to music, play games, text message, and do AOL instant messenger, literally all at the same time. It’s got the little multi-task front right up there. We’ll take two pieces of paper right on top of each other? that is your multi-task front. So by hitting that that pulls up the bottom screen and then from there I could go to my home, my task, menu, home screen and surf the web. So let us clear out of there and there you go. Male 2: You think you can get to show how it gets in portrait? Male 1: I don’t know. That’s landscape. Male 2: Okay. The way you can just. Male 1: Yup! Just drag your finger and that will actually scroll across. And then? Male 2: Do we like a zoom option, where you can zoom? Male 1: We do. The volume key, if it knows that I’m and hit in the volume key, so that’s zooming in and out. Actually, it is going up and down. Zoom, actually the pause is right there to zoom in. So I could just drag my finger across to zoom in and out and now it’s going to redo it. Male 2: Anything if you have? Male 1: Oops. That’s a. Zoom 80% so now it’s shrinking it, 50%. See that? Male 2: So that’s the 30%? Male 1: Right! So? Male 2: Can you do the landscape back? It would be great exactly. And this will be available from AT&T or just me? Male 1: Yes. Male 2: Pretty much?
