Host: Previously on married on MySpace. Graem and Dehlia beat the competition and win the wedding of a lifetime. Coming up, find out which wedding photography style you chose for them. Then watch as Graem and Dehlia have trouble seeing eye-to-eye.
Graem: It just didn’t feel right to me.
Host: And even get emotional. It all happens now on Married on MySpace.
Dehlia: We’re engaged three and a half years and it’s kind of hard to believe that we’re getting married.
You know you want your wedding to be special and what you think represents your relationship and not having control of that, I don’t know it makes me kind of nervous.
Hi Anja how’s it going?
Anja: Hi! How are you guys?
Dehlia: We’re doing great.
Anja: Well we've got a big day ahead of us, so let’s get a jumpstart. Meet me at Fuego Café in about an hour.
Dehlia: Okay, that works. Having someone like Anja plan our wedding I mean that’s what we needed this whole time.
Anja: MySpace community has actually already made a big decision for you guys.
Graem: What’s the decision?
Anja: They actually chose a photography style for you. The choices were romantic black and white, edgy rock and roll and traditional. You guys want to know what they chose?
Graem: Yeah.
Dehlia: Of course!
Graem: Black and white.
Dehlia: Black and white was actually my least favorite. We want it to be colorful and with black and white I don’t even know if we’re going to get that.
Anja: The adventure continues because we’re actually at the location of your wedding.
Dehlia: Really?
Graem: Nice! It’s really crazy like this is real, it’s happening and its happening fast.
Anja: There are three different options for your wedding ceremony, are you ready to see them?
Dehlia: Of course!
Graem: Yeah.
Leah: Hi guys! How are you? Welcome! Today I'm going to show you three of your options for your wedding ceremony.
Welcome to the El Torr Pavillion. You're right on the water with the beautiful skylines of downtown Long Beach and the marina.
Graem: I really like the spot. I was really blown away. I couldn’t believe this was our first option.
Anja: Each of these areas are going to have a different theme. The theme here would be modern Asian. We’re thinking very like minimalistic.
Dehlia: I'm picturing having all my friends and family there. And I want to make sure they all fit. So I think it’s too small.
Anja: Alright, let’s go to option two.
Leah: Welcome to out signature ballroom. It includes a gorgeous deck.
Dehlia: The second option I really liked. I definitely like it a lot better than the first.
Anja: So the theme for this one is romantic elegance. So we’re thinking of color palette of whites, champagnes, blush, pink it looks like a fairytale.
Dehlia: You can’t go wrong with traditional decorations and color scheme. Everyone would be happy with this option. I hope Graem would be happy with it.
Graem: I don’t know if I like going from indoors to outdoors. I just didn’t get the right vibe from it. The room was just really funky and I could tell she likes it a little bit more than she should. It just didn’t feel right to me.
Dehlia: So far so good. What else do you have in store for us?
Anja: You guys ready for option three?
Dehlia: Oh yes! Oh my gosh! I see this gorgeous fountain and I was just blown away.
Anja: This is option three and its tropical garden.
Dehlia: MySpace, I know this is out of my control, please pick option number three. It is my dream wedding location.
Anja: So what we’re thinking here in terms of color—fuchsias, oranges, haps of color that really complement the setting.
Graem: In terms of like wedding colors I didn’t really picture that in my mind and I didn’t picture a jungle in my mind either. I just never pictured that for my wedding.
Anja: Okay, you’ve chosen your favorite but it’s not up to you. MySpace voters are going to vote and they're going to decide for you.
Dehlia: So after we look at all the options, we’re talking with Anja and of course she has another surprise for us.
Anja: So earlier you guys saw your three options and of course there were some differences like you like the modern Asian, you liked the romantic elegance and you love option three. So you guys are going to have your differences and that’s totally normal and marriage is all about compromise.
So today, I've made you an appointment with a pre-marital counselor and you guys are going to do something I call “Engagement Encounter”.
Graem: Okay.
Dehlia: Whatever that is I'm sure it’ll be fun.
Anja: Well have fun with it and I’ll check in with you guys later.
Dehlia: Thanks. See you soon.
Graem: See you.
Dehlia: Engagement encounter!
Graem: So leave Hotel Maya and we go to meet with Donna.
Donna: We’re going to do some practicing of skills today. What I want you to do is I want both of you to reach behind your pillows and I want you to think for a minute about what a typical argument would sound like and I want you to be Graem and I want you to behave like Dehlia. Go!
Dehlia: Babe, I'm doing the dishes right now you need to get up and do something.
Graem: Don’t tell me what to do.
Donna: What did you just demonstrate about his style?
Dehlia: She’s very demanding and gives me an order.
Donna: Gives you an order.
Graem: We need to get the dishes done, it’s a fact. You just say the fact and I want to get it done and get it over with.
Dehlia: And whenever he does that like I immediately shut up because when people try and tell me what to do I'm like, no!
Donna: We’re going to do another exercise. When he says the one thing that really touches your heart I want you just to raise your hand.
Graem: So I start walking around and I'm trying to think of things to say and it’s like—
Donna: Her good qualities.
Dehlia: For him not to be able to say a complement right away that does bother me.
Graem: Then we switched spots and Dehlia was walking around saying stuff to me.
Dehlia: I love you babe. You're very smart. You make me feel special. Thank you for being the only person that I could ever see myself with.
Donna: That’s great.
Graem: It makes me feel good when you said doubted me.
Dehlia: It was really great to hear him and it was actually really emotional for us just because—in our relationship we have a lot of fun and we’re very just not serious.
Donna: Every single person on this planet wants to be loved and valued.
Graem: It’s not like I wasn’t—well I hadn’t heard it in a while.
Dehlia: We don’t really say that too often and when you hear it from someone that you love those words are just so powerful.
