Once you've entered all of your information, Google will still need to validate what you have entered. There are two ways to do this: by phone or by mail. Whichever way you choose, we'll show you how to get your Google Local Business Center listing live.

Molly McDonald: After you've added all of your business information to Google Local Business Center, you need to validate it so that Google knows that the information you've submitted is real. There are two ways you can do this, the first way is to simply have them call you on the phone number that you added as your business number when creating your listing. You'll here be got a message and receive a code that you'll need to write down to use for the validation. If you don't want to receive the call which is pretty quick and painless you could choose to validate by postcard which will take two to three weeks. Obviously the quickest way is to validate by phone but it's really up to you and your preferences. You can also choose to enter in a recipient name or mailbox number here and it won't appear in a google listing it will only be used for validation purposes. I'm going to do by phone, click on finish to finish and since I did by phone I received a code which I can simply enter into this box, click on go and my listing is validated again using Google Local Business Center.
