May 20th: Lindbergh's First Big Flight
On May 20th, 1927, Charles Augustus Lindbergh embarked on the first solo transatlantic non-stop flight. Exactly 5 years later, Amerlia Earhart took off from Newfoundland, becoming the first woman to fly solo across the Atlantic. May 20th also marks the day Mavis Hutchinson arrived in NYC after walking across America in 70 days.
