Motion 3: Motion Tracking in Motion Part 1

Hey guys, this is E. Meek 77 and I am just here with another motion tracking tutorial for motion. A lot of people responded nicely to the one I did, when I was replacing the sign on the side of the bus. Sorry about the phone ringing. And, I was replacing the sign on the sign on the side of the bus and everybody seems to be responds nicely to that. So, I am going to go through it again. On maybe a little different footage, so maybe you all can get a grasp of what is going on and if any of you all who have seen the NAV real for final cut studio, has seen this footage. This footage was given to me by apple in a training course. So, if you want to know where I got it. And, we are going to track this GPS map on to this GPS screen in the Suzuki car for the commercial. And, this is what we are going to track to the dash board. So the first thing we want to do is go to add behavior, motion tracking, match move. And, what I will do is that will bring up this little yellow cross here. So in the hood, it is not already available. Click hood and it will bring it up. Now, in the hood, you can see it is already slipped to our source footage, because motion is smart enough to do that. Under the type, we want to we want to put transform and we want type the four corners. And, that, as you can see will give us a crosshair in very corner. And, when I click this cross here, it magnifies everything as you can see. So, what we want to do is I want to place the four corners of these crosshairs to the corners of the GPS tracker. So, I want to take this and drag it down and stick it in the corner here. I will be going to do it in all four corners. So bare with me, as best you can and I am not really going to be locked here with this. I am just going on through it real quick and sloppy, so I can get a grasp on it. That to me, looks pretty good and after you have your. Lets make it sure it is lined up, select everything and it looks pretty good. I might be able to forward it a little bit more. Now that we have our set up, let us analyze our motion by clicking the analyze button and it looks like it is going to be a little bit off. So, what we will be going to do is try to straight it up a little bit, by adjusting our four corners. And, the last and as you can see it has tracked the GPS matt to the dash board. Let me close my project here. Well first, let me select everything. Let me close my project and replay here as you can see even with the camera. Even the camera is being shaky, it is tracked. So now, let me now know add a filter, brought in this filter. So, maybe I can blend it in just a little bit. Maybe I want to set it to maybe about, I do not know maybe eight and six or something, let me see. Like that, right there it looks a little bit better. As you can see when I play it back, we have a motion track. And, it is that simple guys, it is really that simple. I am not sure how playing on and being on this tutorials but this right here is very straight forward as long as got you some good footage. It should not be a problem.
