N.E.R.D. "Seeing Sounds" Album Launch

Hollyscoop.com hit the record release of N.E.R.D. latest album "Seeing Sounds". The third album from the band which consists of The Neptunes (Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo) — along with collaborator Shae Haley. Hollyscoop got to interview the boys after their performance on Jimmy Kimmel live at the Virgin Megastore in Hollywood. N.E.R.D. "Seeing Sounds" Album Launch Diana: Hey guys. This is Diana for Hollyscoop.com. Now, one of my favorite bands, N.E.R.D has Seeing Sounds. And we’re here at the Virgin Mega Store to actually hear it. Let’s get a scoop on their upcoming album. Tell me the meaning behind the title and the album itself. Male: I mean Seeing Sounds is – we thought like it was their appropriate title for what we envisioned for this album. So, we want people to see what we saw. It first started out with a sample that came from my old jazz record. We spread it up, play with it a little bit. We founded the loop and there you have it. Male: The story is we just wanted to make some music and we want that people to see the same way we did. Close your eyes and listen to music. If you see something, then you’re on the right track. Diana: What do you want people to see? Male: Whatever that does the thing. It’s a user’s experience. Diana: What’s the bets place to hear you music to actually envision what you guys envisioned, when you guys made the album? Male: Shower. Diana: With the lights off? Male: Yeah. Diana: With the water running? Male: Absolutely. Diana: I want to find out who the biggest N.E.R.D fan is. Who’s the biggest N.E.R.D fan? Female: My hand is gold and he shook it over. Diana: Are you able to wash your hands? Female: Never washing my hand again. Never again like never. Male: I’d spent 30 hours making these shoes. I misslip in two days just to do it. Diana: Show me what you have in this box. Male: It’s all his shoe line for ice cream. It was only released in Paris colette and it’s out of 50 and only in the world and I have number 32. Diana: How did you get it? Male: I went to France. Diana: You went to France just to buy these shoes? Male: Yeah. Diana: That’s a hardcore coral fan. Male: Yes, it is. Diana: Your mascara is all messed out. Female: Look at him. He’s so perfect like oh my gosh I have— Diana: Any artist signature right here. What were you guys feeling like when he went upstairs?
