Donna Ho interviews stylist Phillip Bloch backstage after BCBG Max Azria show during Fall 2010 Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in New York.

Donna: I’m back stage here with stylist Phillip Bloch just after the BCBG Max Azria show. What do you think about the collection? Phillip: The collection was gorgeous. I thought it was very interesting. It was definitely had a focus. It was about draping. It was about layering. What I loved is they took this gorgeous strapless dresses and put them over this tights over this shear black T-shirt and they dress them up. They dress them down. There were pieces that you can dress you down. Make them day time by putting them in this way or you can take off the T-shirt and have some gorgeous jewelry and a sexy stiletto and you can go out on the town. I love clothes that you can dress up and dress down. I think using economic types. People are constantly looking for something what they can find transformation or they can make with one way and make with another. You want versatility in clothes. And he’s definitely had it and I love the twist and the turns of the fabric. It was like a collection and the bold prints were beautiful, subtle colors, the black, the browns, the gray and a little bit of metallic leading in between, very beautiful. The symmetric were there. There was a little bump shoulder. The belting, all the rope turns we’re looking for. Donna: So, you definitely mean it's all about detailing in this collection, right? Phillip: Detailing is draping and flow. It's definitely about the flow. It's definitely fluidity in the flow. Donna: Right, I definitely notice that he has been doing a lot of like different silhouettes in each season and it's more flowing. So, you think that’s going to be probably in trend for the fall? Phillip: I think with the few seasons we’ve seen the flow, the shirts you know. People want clothes to move. They want clothes to have a life. You have a life; you want your clothes to have a life. You want them to move with your life and I think these were clothes that would definitely move. And I say you can take them to the office. You can take out on the town. Wear it like your best friend.
