Pregnancy Story - Charlene Glover

Pregnant with twins, Glover talks about her high-risk pregnancy.

Charlene Glover: My experience has been good so far. This is my second pregnancy, I lost my first son at eight and half months due to a placenta abruptions so, I’m like triple high risk but—Pregnant with twins and I was shock to find out that I was but I’m happy and everything is going pretty good so far. Cravings, waking, of course, tiredness, moodiness so, it’s all been pretty normal. Of course I’m worried about what happened before the placenta abruption, there is no reason why it happened with my first pregnancy so I’m being monitored a lot more closely, ultrasounds, 3D, 4D ultrasounds I get every month so—my concerns are -- in so, I’m waiting for the arrival. We pretty much been planning so we’ve got it where—my husband is military so my chicks been going into saving so—it’s pretty much been planning it out, pretty good so—insurance is covered so non problems with that. I get eight weeks from my company so—and I may take a little longer off so, right now I’m looking at eight week. I think your power should be longer, maybe about six months but it’s just my opinion. I would just say, extra doctors, a lot of questions—one of the books I’ve got is when it’s – twins that my doctor recommended from MUSC. He has a lot information on it that I had no idea so, every time I go to the doctor, I have a list of questions to ask. So don’t be afraid to ask questions, don’t be afraid if you feel uncomfortable, or if something happens you’re not sure, don’t be afraid to go to the hospital. Don’t wait any questionism point.
