Male Speaker: So exercise is key to good health, it's good for your body, it's good for your brain and we have got some great tips for a little boost in your brain function.

Male Speaker: And there are a lot of hand held games. So this is the Nintendo DSI XL hand held and this has games that perform or you have performing mental exercises. So, we all took these home last night and then one of them is how to test your brain age? And it was this game for me of rock, paper, scissors, it was late last night and I played it and it said I had the brain of a 7 year old.
Male Speaker: Right yeah, it's tough. I did the same game because sometimes it would ask you to lose or win, so you have to think, oh wait, it's rock I got to do paper to lose, no paper to win.
Male Speaker: It makes the reasoning more complex.
Male Speaker: Complex reasoning yeah makes you - it really taxes your brain.
Male Speaker: This is called the Brain Age 2 that's what we played last night. Lots of other games for a console like this that can get your brain working, crossword puzzles, anything that gets you thinking in the higher functioning levels of your brain.
Female Speaker: I like to play chess and learn new languages. So anything that tries to get your brain working in different ways.
Male Speaker: Even simply just reading is better than nothing.
Female Speaker: Yeah way to get much.
Male Speaker: You tested out I think you said 59.
Male Speaker: Yeah my brain age was 59 really.
Male Speaker: We tell everybody their brain is 59.
Male Speaker: That means I get to practice more right.
[Cross talk]
Male Speaker: If you practice, if you work your brain you will get better.
Female Speaker: We got to do new things because we start doing the same things we do over and over again and those pathways, they are not used and you have to use those pathways that aren't used to keep all that functioning well.
Male Speaker: So Doctor's orders exercise your brain just like your body. If you are watching TV in moderation, that's okay but that's a passive activity.
