Rocking with Winamp - #10 - The Bonus Features in Winamp

Any media play can play music, but Winamp Media Player does more. It gives you some cool extras that you can use to enhance your media experience with visualizations, you can even find games, listen to online radio or completely change the look and feel of your Winamp player.

In this episode, we’re going to look at to some of the extra features that you get with Winamp. And as you can see on my screen, I don’t have Winamp. I have a browser open. And currently, when you’ve been installed Winamp you get a link put on your desktop and you go to that link, which is where I’m at. You can get 50 free downloads of Mp3 files and one free audio book. You can pick from over 4 million songs. They work with any Mp3 player and there is no DRM, no restrictions. You can download them for free and if you want to join eMusic then so much the better but you get your 51 files regardless. Another very cool extra feature of Winamp is the Winamp Toolbar. Now if you’re really into music, the Winamp Toolbar in agrees with your browser and it lets you search for music, you can search for and manage skins, you search for and manage plug-ins and you can play your music right from the toolbar. You can also play radio from SHOUTcast radio. And Winamp also has the cool extra of having full support for iPod and other Mp3 players. So Winamp is a media program, this is loaded with features for playing audio and video and it gives you a complete experience. So, that concludes part ten and that’s all there is to it.
