Snake Venom Against the Skin Wrinkles
Dr. Travis Stork: For our last two tips, we’re going to send it back stage to Drew. He
is in our so-called anti-aging lab. So Drew, what do you have
going on back there?
Dr. Drew Ordon: We are using laser lights. So, we all have to protect our eyes. But
I’m here right in our anti-aging lab, more beauty tips for you. I’m
here with my colleague Dr. Grover, Board-Certified Plastic
Surgeon. His patient Alicia, we’re using the new Triniti three-in-
one skin care system. The benefit being here, we can take care of
three different problems that we see with the skin; spots, wrinkles
and actually tightening of the skin. So, tell us where we are now in
Alicia’s treatment.
Dr. Sanjay Grover: So Drew, right now we are on stage two or step two of this Triniti
program. The first step was to FotoFacial RF and that is to address
the browns and the reds.
Dr. Drew Ordon: Okay.
Dr. Sanjay Grover: So, we’ve done that. Now, we’re at step two which is the ReFirme
and this is the radiofrequency device and this is going out for skin
contraction and tightening.
Dr. Drew Ordon: So, a little lifting.
Dr. Sanjay Grover: A little lifting.
Dr. Drew Ordon: Non-surgical lift?
Dr. Sanjay Grover: Exactly.
Dr. Drew Ordon: Okay.
Dr. Sanjay Grover: Step three will be the Matrix and that’s for fine wrinkles, lines
around the mouth, the eyes, acne scaring.
Dr. Drew Ordon: Sort of a resurfacing technique?
Dr. Sanjay Grover: Without any ablations.
Dr. Drew Ordon: And you can do this all at the same time?
Dr. Sanjay Grover: We do it sequentially one after the other. The treatment takes about
20 to 40 minutes total. We do one every three to four weeks and
we usually do three to four treatments.
Dr. Drew Ordon: Okay. Excellent! Well, I want to see how this works. We actually
have pictures to show how this was done on another patient, her
before and after pictures. Let’s take a peek.
Dr. Sanjay Grover: Around the eyes, you can see the crow’s feet much improved and
then also, the neckline and the jaw line right there.
Dr. Drew Ordon: Very nice! But we are not finished yet.
Dr. Travis Stork: I heard you had something dealing with snakes back there.
Dr. Drew Ordon: Just wait until you see this. We can take our glasses off now. We
are here with Barbara, our patient and Mimi from Sonya Dakar.
She is the cofounder of the Sonya Dakar health spa is Beverly
Hills.
Mimi: That’s right.
Dr. Drew Ordon: And we are dealing with snake venom here.
Mimi: Actually synthetic snake venom.
Dr. Drew Ordon: Okay.
Mimi: But it work similar to snake venom. This is a facial. We are
actually in the middle of the process. We’ve done a cleanse,
exfoliation and a peel and we apply the synthetic snake venom
called SYN-AKE and it basically relaxes the muscles in the skin
just like Botox does but an alternative that you can use instead of
injectables, or just all over your face.
I'm going to just right now apply this cream. It’s just a white mass
that you can leave on. It does not really dry. So, it is great if you
have dry skin.
Dr. Drew Ordon: How long do you leave it on?
Mimi: We leave this on for about 15 minutes.
Dr. Drew Ordon: How many times do you recommend somebody repeat this?
Mimi: Ideally once a month when you go in for your regular facial and if
you are trying to really stretch your treatments out, you can look
for a product with the SYN-AKE or synthetic snake venom in it
and you can use it at home, so you can [Voice Overlap]
Dr. Drew Ordon: So SYN-AKE, that’s the key ingredient in what we are doing here?
Mimi: Correct. Yes.
Dr. Drew Ordon: And basically the same thing as Botox, trying to block that nerve
to contract the muscle which we know what contributes to
wrinkles.
Mimi: Yes. Except that it’s not permanent. So, as soon as the product
really absorbs into your skin, good in about 12 hours, you’d lose
the effect, so you would really need to do it.
Dr. Drew Ordon: And we have not seen any side effects.
Mimi: No side effects so far.
Dr. Drew Ordon: You are okay so far?
Barbara: It’s fabulous.
Dr. Drew Ordon: Okay.
Barbara: Perfect!
Dr. Drew Ordon: Well good! How do you like that?
Dr. Travis Stork: Thanks everyone for sharing.
Dr. Drew Ordon: [Voice Overlap] snake venom.
Dr. Travis Stork: So, would you do the snake venom facial?
Brooke Burke: I might want to experiment with that, yes
Dr. Travis Stork: Lisa?
Dr. Lisa Masterson: I think I’m going to give it a try it, yeah.
Dr. Jim Sears: I got my roller. I’m good with this.
Dr. Travis Stork: That’s all you need.
Brooke Burke: Yeah, I’ll chill a little bit.
