Anne: When you’re pregnant, going to bed with a baby bum can mean more tossing and turning than sleeping soundly. So I went and search on the most snuggly and stylish sleepwear out there at the world’s largest maternity store Destination Maternity. District manager and fashion guru Joanne Amend helped me scour their brands, Mimi Maternity, A Pea in the Pod and Motherhood Maternity for some posh PJs. Joanne: Sleepwear is a very personal option and we have clients that love to wear shorts. We have some that like gowns. We have some that like pajamas. So we really like to have a complete collection so that we have something for everyone at every price point. We have everything from button down pajama sets to like robe and night gown sets and we have nursing pajamas and night gowns that they can take to the hospital and wear for the delivery time. Anne: So let’s check out those sleep-worthy styles. Joanne: Yvonne’s wearing a part of our Mimi Maternity sleep collection. This is a 2 piece set sold for $32 and I think it’s very comfortable. It’s terrific for lounging and just wearing around the house and its comfortable Yvonne? Yvonne: Very comfortable. Joanne: I love the pants. They look terrific. Amy is wearing something from our Pea in the Pod collection and this is probably, it’s for lounging but well you will be comfortable sleep in this. Amy: It’s like butter. It’s so comfortable and really soft. Joanne: It’s very flattering and it’s comfortable, easy to wear. The top also is available with the shorts as an option for sleeping as well. And the top is $75. The long pants are $75 and the shorts is $50. Yvonne is wearing a robe and gown set from our Motherhood collection. This is a 2 piece set for $29.98. It’s all cotton and it’s very cool and comfortable. This is definitely a sleep piece but it’s nice to have the robe to go along. Anne: When you’re shopping for something to sleep in while pregnant, of course you want to find something really cute but you also want to make sure it’s really comfortable. Joanne: I would say a combination but for the main part it would be for comfort. Most you know really they wear sleep wear for sleeping and but still want to look pretty and something that they can wear around the house. Anne: Whether sleeping or lounging, women with child can find something that makes them feel good and to look good as well. Joanne: Well it’s really important that women want to stay pretty throughout their entire pregnancy and you know it’s something that we embrace and that we you know we really celebrate instead of trying to hide the way they used to years ago.
