The Opel Corsa OPC Whenever you see OPC at the back of an Opel, you know that it is a sporty tough model in the series. Since 1997, the Opel performance Center has been doing the same thing for Opel as the MGmbH for BMW, the division for the strong, fast and refined. The latest creation out of the Brussels’-- high-performance factory is now ready to roll, the Corsa OPC. Watch out VW Polo GTI, here it comes. Never before has a Corsa been strong or fast, in 7.2 seconds it dashes from 0 to 100, peaking at 225 kilometers per hour. In the OPC version, the Corsa’s only available as a three-door car. The interior is also quite sporty. A nicely contoured sport seats from Recaro are the main attention-grabber. They give the body safe support even when the little Opel zips around sharp turns. Adding to the fun, a leather-clad steering wheel and aluminum pedals the standard equipment is really remarkable for this range topping model. Automatic climate control, rain sensors, cruise control, four times 20-watt sound system, tire pressure control, all for an entry level price for 23,100 euros. The power that Corsa OPC, there’s a four-cylinder with 1.6 liters of displacement and turbo charging, 230 Newton meters of max torque already available at 2,000rpm let you go easy on the six-speed gear shift. As with any OPC, the Corsa’s also seen some intense testing with its chassis at the norge life of the Nürburgring. Intense that also describes the concentration needed to steer this sporty Corsa. The OPC is much too fast, faster than permitted by the police.
