In this clip, we’re going to talk about how to understand Mars and his role in mythology. Mars is the God of War. He's also referred to as Ares. And he is generally foul tempered, angry and ready to do battle. This is an image of his helmet. Always remember Mars carries a sword and a shield and protection. He's remembered really as for foul tempered guy ready to do battle. However, Mars also shows where we can take action. In astrology, Mars rules the planet of the sign Aries. Aries is the first sign. It’s the primal cardinal action starting point of spring and where we begin our activities. This card of Mars shows if you look at it closely, it shows that he has a sword. He's tribal character. Also the symbol, the glyph for Mars shows the little arrow, his sword and his shield, his protection. Mars is where we will defend our ideas and strive to get and obtain exactly what we want regardless of the consequences. Mars was noted as the favorite lover of the fine Goddess Venus.
