Many of you may not have the luxury of parking your car in the garage during those cold weather months. Then you have to deal with the hassle of scraping ice, frost and snow off your vehicle before you go to work or run your errands. So to save driver’s extra time and energy I personally spent four years, six months, three weeks and six days working with others in treacherous weather conditions developing and testing Prestone Ice and Frost Shield vehicle glass treatment. I'm Rebecca Marshall laboratory technician here at Honeywell Prestone Research and Development Laboratory in Danbury, Connecticut. This is where I've done my work so that you don’t have to. We developed a robust formula that provides a resilient barrier between the environment and the automotive class thus reducing the formation of frost and the adhesion of frost, light ice and snow. We put it to work out doors against Mother Nature with comprehensive field testing over several New England Winters. The best condition for frost is when it’s warm during the day and below freezing at night. We never knew what Mother Nature would bring therefore I applied the product every night. I've done my share of testing out in the cold in an effort to spare my camera man from getting frost bite I'm going to show you how the product works here in the controlled environment. Here it is winter test chamber we’ve set the temperature to 10 degrees Fahrenheit so that we could create ice on the windshield similar to what you would find out on your car when you go to start on a chilly morning. You see light ice can easily be removed with just your vehicles wiper glaze or snow brush. If you’d used Preston Ice and Frost Shield the night before or as we have done here an hour before in our testing chamber. Now you might be thinking I'm not a weatherman, how can I be sure if this going to be sure if there's going to be ice and frost on my windshield in the morning or what if I forgot to apply the Ice and Frost Shield the night before? Don’t panic. It’s okay Prestone Windshield the de-icer is great backup. You just spray it on your windows and it helps melt ice fast. It even helps reduce dangerous refreeze and as you can see we've thought of it all. It even has a convenient ice scraper bill into the top. I suggest keeping this one in your car. So if you want to avoid the hassle and save some time on those frigid winter morning use Prestone Ice and Frost Shield.
