Classic movie Clash of the Titans remade for a modern audience with leading Avatar actor Sam Wothington achieving god- like status playing Perseus, an immortal raised as a man, who after loosing his family heads out on a mission to defeat Hades played by Ralph Fiennes. Only Hades is more preoccupied with destroying Zeus and unleashing hell on earth amongst the vast ray of spectacular mythological creatures. Back in 1981 the first film was herald at a masterpiece mainly thanks to the work of legendary Hollywood animator Ray Harryhausen. The big question is does this version lived up to the fans expectations and of course grab some new ones. Director Louis Leterrier has promised to stay true to the fans and the story is based on the original movie but that’s where the similarities will end. Expect a white knuckle ride from this 3D spectacle and a cracking good time.
