This is the last Top 5 I'll be doing for CNET, so thought I'd take a look back over the last four years of Top 5's and see which ones you watch the most, not too teary-eyed or anything, just a half-decade check of the Top 5's zeitgeist. Let's count down the Top 5 Top5's: At Number five the worst downloads of the fall 2009. Every show featuring the worst downloads does well, but somehow in the fall of aught-nine you are really in the mood for some bad downloads. The Free Picture Finder still cracks me. Coming in at number four reasons not to get an Apple iPad, now situations like this I usually do one Top 5 it's positive and one that's negative and I'll tell you the negative one is always the more popular and negative towards the iPad most popular of all. Up to number three the top-rated products of 2007. Remember 2007 back before the recession before the dark times before the empire and what was the top-rated product of those carefree days you asked the Cannon EOS 1D Mark lll more happier times. Sliding in a Number two 2009 tech predictions an end of the year classic the prediction show usually ranks well back in 2008 when I was predicting for 2009 I predicated Android would out sell iPhone, which it didn't in 2009. But finally this month it appears like it may finally be true. I have waited for this day. Before we get to number one let's take a look at the rest of the top 10 top 5's. I forgot all about that Mac versus Windows one. All right let's get to our number one the most popular top 5 I've ever down with twice the number of streams as the number two episode. At number one it's free software. How happy I was when I saw this on the traffic report I'm a huge believer in free and open source software and apparently so are many of you at least the free part? Doesn't mean I don't pay for software when I need to I do but like you all I love the free and lot of the free is really good like the five I've mentioned in that Top 5.
