Two Great Netbook Accessories Review

This is a video review of two great accessories that I recommend every netbook owner get: a USB-powered DVD burner, and a shorter power cable.

AT&T turns off its broadband TV service, we have photos of a Dell smart phone and Google losses a bit of market share to Bing. Its Monday August 17th I’m Natali Del Conte and it’s time to get loaded. It has not than good week for Boxee users, an update to the Apple TV yesterday breaks compatibility with there party add on like Boxee. It looks like Apple finally cut on to the media center software and decided they do not want you to watch cool online videos on your TV so if you want to keep your Boxee going don’t upgrade your Apple TV firmware. Netflix more or less confirm that it will begin offering the streaming only service. Rumors about they started circulating last week and the company CFO Barry McCartney discuss it on Wednesday, he said were like to do that and the foreseeable future which stands promising to me. It would mean that you can’t get a Netflix account without ever having to get a physical DVD in the mail you just subscribe to stream the movies in the Netflix blog instantly application. Microsoft is taking Tomtom to court for pattern infringement, the company releases the statement on Wednesday same they have filed an action against the GPS Company for infringing an intellectual property related to in car navigation technology and other computing functionality. The statement implied that they had tried to settle out of court but in agreement could not be reaching. There were no details about specifically which technology was infringe but I’m guessing it has to do with Microsoft sink. Alaska Airlines is joining the ranks of airlines that offer in flight Wi-Fi, this will be a satellite base service from a company called Row 44. It will be free for the first 60 days while being tasted in flight between settle and San Jose if the trial is successful it will be rolled out to the airlines entire flight but it won’t be free. On Tuesday Gmail was down for 2 ½ hours, users of the Google Apps premiers of service are being compensated the whole $2 and 5 cents for there time. According to the terms of service you should also get an extra three days of service but Google will extend that to 15 days out of there own generosity. In more Gmail news the company has added a new feature, this time you have the option of moving the inbox count before the word Gmail in the title bar of your browser. So if you have a bunch of tabs open you can easily see how many unread emails you have. A few weeks back we mentioned of the, I am reach application that was available for a modest $999 on iTunes, it was basically away for reach people to prove that they had money to burn and socially network with like minded posters. As you can imagine few people were amused and it was fold from iTunes apps stare pretty quickly. Now the app has weird its pretentious head in the android market but the developers have apparently learn there lesson, they lower the price to $200 what bargain. If your laptop installing you maybe able to set it to irritate the heck out of the teeth until they either destroy it or bring it back to you. A program by front door software called Retriever will flash a really annoying yellow message on your laptop screen every 30 seconds if the machine has been reported stolen. It will also say out loud stolen laptop over and over and over again this cannot be turn off unless you log in to the website and disconnect it yourself. The laptop itself will know it’s stolen because you have reported it on the website and when the machine is turn on it will look for near by Wi-Fi signals in order to push out the message the program cost $30. Well it certainly is a deterrent for thief is it really going to get someone to bring you your computer back what do you expect the laptop on your doorstep with the note it says, sorry I try to use it but it bug the crap so I’m getting it back not likely. Now AT&T is been getting butcher by users especially in San Francisco and New York for its coverage but a new PC will test has now put the iPhones carrier at the top of there 13th city test on 3G performance for download speeds, upload speeds and reliability. AT&T is touted there consent road of network upgrades and you can see some of the improvements for some of those cities compared to there test last spring. Now I told you guys I’ve seen better performance a couple of shows ago. Sure this serve as only 13 cities but does this and will this change of mind about AT&T and using future devices on there network. I’m in iChat right now and I’m constantly getting IM while I’m working but I hate switching between apps to get to them. Go to window in the menu bar and select keep a float. Now no matter what app I’m working in it stays on top and for all your hot key kings press control command and A to use this feature, you can also make the windows translucent and then turn a pick when you using it so that’s a pretty cool feature. Form a PC pips, check out the desk pins utility from Alias Fontenies once installed you can access by clicking its icon on the notifications area of your task bar. You see a little contact and if I want to make sure I can see this entire episodes for Jolo without anything getting then away I click on it to pin it and its stays on top of any other app I’m using. And if you want to be hot key freak control and F11 brings up the pin and control in F12 removing. Alright Apple’s once again making sure that you know who runs the apps store in this week’s bad app. The big A recently removes over 5000 apps that they considered overtly sexual. Some of the apps include photos of women in bikinis or lingerie how can you say that, I don’t even knows what that is. But one of the Applebytes own after the week wobble was taking down as well so what if you can make body part giggle is done any pictures of women in the app so while they took down those apps hold some family apps like sport illustrated swimsuit challenge and playboy are still alive and kicking on the apps store. Apple, you may want to protect your image and as fell show it will said in the New York Times, put the needs of kids and parents firs were you guys are idiot really it’s comforting to know that father jobs and the rest of you will always be looking out for us in the apps store. Maybe in explicit section four apps with another password and actually allowing adults and parent decide what content is acceptable for there kids and themselves to access makes more sense but you know that would just be too hard programs and guess what we’re still in out the bad apple.
