One of my favorite aspects is that regardless of how old the arts and sciences such as Tai Chi, Feng Shui, or ancient Chinese medicine, it's prevalent in everyday day life even today. Glass, steel, and marble plate Oedipus are monuments to Feng Shui concepts. The nightly symphony of light show features a spectacular multimedia display involving 44 key buildings on both sides of Victoria Harbor. Hong Kong is a unique fusion of western and eastern culture where the old and the new live side by side making Hong Kong a living culture experience. Take a 20-minute sampan ride and cruise around the tycoon shelter to see the old fishing community still living on their boats. Once a harbor of thousands of boats, there are less than a hundred now as the city gives way for a future that is more characterized by stunning high-rise architecture to accommodate a large and diverse population. On the south side of the island is Repulse Bay, one of Hong Kong’s most popular and accessible beaches. Modern buildings startle nature, but what is unique because the buildings are designed to flow with water and air movement as seen in this building that leads the center clear for the flow of the wind. Hong Kong distinctly moves into the future with solid proven ancient principles such as the art of Feng Shui.
