Bennett-Watt: Oregon’s Cascade Mountains beginning with Mount Hood in the north bisect the state in spectacular volcanic style. Part of the Pacific ring of fire volcanos, this snowcapped peaks many of which you can see from Pilot Butte State Park having the geologic past seem more fun at times then it’s a quite essential resort community with the world class trout stream running through the middle of town in Mount Bachelor ski just 20 minutes away. Janette Sherman: The Bachelor ski is about 370 inches of snow a year on average. This year we have about hitting like on target, last year we have about 540 inches of snow so we’ve been doing really well in regards to snow fall. We’re sitting on the Cascade Range and again that means that we really see a little bit dryer powder; we’re on a dormant volcano. And so it just makes our snow a little bit dry than what you may find in the western part of the state but the bachelor is 9,065 feet. The longest run is about 3,000 feet. Now, we have seven high-speed quads, 12 lists total. And the variety of terrain available on our mountain just really can't be matched. I think what brings you up here first of all is that on a mountain, it’s truly a full mountain experience wherein you can ski almost 360 degrees off of our dormant volcano. We’re very fortunate that our mountain serves both beginners, advanced and the intermediate skiers. So, we’re really well spread out in that regard. They have a lot of available—of above summit including some—summit too. So, if you’re intermediate skier looking into kind of hit that extra step and looking to going to advanced, you have a way to do that out of summit then you can also skip back in and take a blue run down. Behind me are more of green lands and then of course more east side of the mountain is also our green land services children and families really well. We have a tubing part that’s open usually Thursday through Sunday s throughout the season and then over the holidays open daily from 10 to 4. And we also have four training parks including a super—that’s 400 feet long with 18 foot width. And it’s hosted nearly all competitions including the US—I think the ski is our industry in Oregon tends to be a little more late back than some of the other resorts you’ll see in other states. And for the most part and majority of the resorts are on forest service land so there isn’t a kind of lodging and it’s more of a—that’s how we really like to describe it and that you’re really getting a good environment that's not all about real estate or all of those kinds of investments, it’s really about skiing and enjoying the environment.
