Visit the Honey Island River Swamp in Louisiana Across Lake Pontchartrain in the opposite direction honey island swamp, one of the least altered best preserved river swamps in North America. Since 1982 Dr. Paul Wagner and his crew of naturalist guides have been conducting ecological natural history tours in Honey Island. I am going to turn the boat around so that you can see them. Now both of those look like they are good seven feet long so those are average maybe a little bit above average - two of them. The American Alligator get 14 to 16 feet, the males, females is 8 1/2 to nine feet. I hope it is not one of those jumping snakes. We can see some more snakes; some of them are going to be stretch out on limbs. On the left over here you can see some camps and I want to mention for is all state property. Except for those camps are on a one stretch of land is owned by one person, put a camp on those lease to land from. The state property beyond is just down those camps.
