Wedding Flowers: Wedding Experts - leading florist Robbie Honey talks through some of his signature looks

I might as well be heading on the florist that would come here and you come down marketing in London; I didn’t always plan on being a florist today, I just thought I’m going to be a flower farmer. Flowers have always been my passion since I was a little boy, I’ve just always kind of being interrupted by flowers and nature and flora in general; there’s a picture of me as about 6 in a poppy field just surrounded by a massive poppies holding a bug bunch and I’m just right, wow, so on that, summing it up, I’ve retained a great love for flowers. A lot of people think that white is the, white or creams, the any colors to use on for wedding flowers and I’ve just thought that some, it’s such a narrow spectrum really, cause there are so many amazing colors out there to use and I think a wedding can incorporate anything with colors; you know, you can go bright purple, bright orange and mixture, you know, whatever you want that the sky’s the limit. Some brides may want to introduce some colors on their wedding day, but they’re quite scared that it may be too bright, so I would suggest, you can make it a bit of a hint of color; and this rose here is absolutely beautiful, it’s called Sweet Avalanche, it’s pale pink with some green petals on the outside and it’s not too alarming and this way is introducing just a hint of color can really, they really brighten up wedding flowers and I mean, this right, it’s just perfect for it. Personally as a florist, I really do like sticking to one color, and just go completely marvelous doing the shades of it, and you absolutely can mix all colors; we did a Bollywood theme wedding a couple of years ago on an island and, you know, we just went through all bold catching colors; and it looked absolutely amazing. And if you do choose color on you wedding day for your flowers, don’t be half-hearted about it, go to town, follow your heart and go wild with this bold color, juts looks absolutely amazing. Flowers are such an intended part of any wedding day, and I feel that maybe too really time without any option, it should, the theme, I kind of hate that word, but the theme wedding is going to, there need to be a thread running through it, so things like table and in the dress, what the bride is made to wear and where it’s being held or there’s things affect what your flowers are going to be like. Hydrangeas come in the most wonderful array of colors, and then it’s absolutely beautiful, look at that pink there, big fluffy flower head, you get a lot of flower for your money. For any day bride, how about this, a Vanda Oak and in a contemporary glass vase, its amazing purple color and the great thing about using this as a table center, is that your guests can take a memento of the day that’s going to last and last and last, I mean that’s great value for money. And if you do decide to use roses on your wedding day, don’t feel confined to cream or white; and you can just look before me with incredible palate of roses here, they’re absolutely amazing, they’ve got a really vibrant lime green, bright orange and even some extraordinary vintage shades you’ve never seen before. Rather worryingly the color that I’ve seen that’s coming back in fashion and I’m beginning to like it myself is peach. Shocked color, it was huge in the 80’s, but peach seems to slowly making a comeback and I have rolled intend to run to it.
