Rochelle: Planning a wedding can be a wonderful experience but a whole lot of work. So if you’re looking for a stress free wedding then you may just want to hire a wedding planner. Welcome to WatchMojo.com, I’m Rochelle and we’re going to see what a wedding a planner has to offer. So here was Sonia from right from Right for your Events. She’s been in the business for 10 years and she knows the ins and outs of wedding planning. So Sonia, does everyone really need a wedding planner? Sonia: In my opinion, I would suggest that every couple should definitely look into hiring a planner. You want that day to perfect and you don’t want the stresses that come along with deciding your reception venue, your ceremony, DJ’s and videographers. A wedding planner takes that stress away from you. They do all the research. They do all the booking based on your choices and your taste and budget. Rochelle: So let’s say you have someone who says, “You know what? I’m creative, I know what I want. I have my own themes, my décor. I know my soiree is going to be like”. What can you offer a person like this? Sonia: It is your day. You should have it run the way you want. However, what the planner does is that she instills some of her insight and some of her advice based past experiences. Rochelle: So how many meetings can you anticipate to go through before you complete the entire planning of the wedding? Sonia: If you want to get the most for that day, I would suggest seeing as many people as you can. You can go through, you can meet like ten different people and say, “No, it hasn’t quit but then the eleventh, yes.” My one tip for a couple is please ensure that when you’ve sought the vendor you have the connection with that event. They become part of your extended family. That’s what they because they sharing the most important day with you. So make sure you have that feel and you can walk with them and that they share the same spirit and passion that you do for that day.
