What Will they Wear to the Oscars This year’s red carpet awards fashion has included a lot of red and a lot of shoulder. Cameron Diaz looks sensational in this scarlet gown by Alexander McQueen at the 2010 Golden Globes while Marion Cotillard went with a more flirty sheath look at the sags in this one shoulder fitted dress. So what would be the big trend be it this year’s academy awards? More importantly, what would the front runners be flaunting? Merryl Streep whose favorite to win the Oscar for best actress for her role on the comedy Julie and Julia usually prefers to cover up, but stepped up the glam factor and her both have printed gown at the 2010 Screen Actors Guild Awards. There she spiced it up even more for the Oscars. Sandra Bullock looked divine in violet of the Golden Globes where she picked up the best actress award for her performance in The Blind Side. And although she‘s not few fashion topaz, we’re almost positive she will rock the red carpet. The underdog on the best actress short list is definitely Carrie Mulligan who brought nothing but glitz and glamour to both the Golden Globe and Sag Awards. She clearly likes to go strapless but perhaps she’ll mix things up for the Oscars. As for the boys, George Clooney will be anything but up in the air regarding with his attire. We imagine he’ll go with something like this or maybe even this. Either way, he is leaving with the trophy. Jeff Bridges on the other hand might be faced with a very difficult decision, bow or tie? We’ll find out soon enough.
