Why Women Get Breast Implants

Comedians Sinbad and Frank Nicotero are joined by relationship coach and self-proclaimed bad boy Steve Santagati to take on women’s rights attorney Lisa Bloom and comedians Frances Callier and Angela V. Shelton, better known as the comedy duo Frangela, to debate whether women should get breast implants.

Why Women Get Breast Implants Dr. Andrew Ordon: Ultimately the woman has to decide what she wants to do. It is her body in terms of— Male: She shouldn’t do it for us though. Don’t do it for us. Steve Santagati: It depends what your body type is. Most women can get away with what they’re naturally born. I’d say 99% could even if they’re small. We like all different types, right. Dr. Travis Stork: So there maybe some circumstances when for a woman, for herself, she’s unhappy with her breast, and this would be an option. Lisa Bloom: But she needs to know the risks. Dr. Andrew Ordon: If you’re born an A cup of going through pregnancy, having kids, your breast change, you’ve lost weight, those are all great indications. Steve Santagati: So you feel better, you would feel better because if you feel better about yourself where most women don’t need it, I would say that unless you’re a pear shape like you’ve no boobs and you look really -- Lisa Bloom: Nobody needs it, I mean give me a break. Dr. Travis: We even talk in the show for we talk about some women, Heidi Montag and particularly doing it because she wants to be famous. She wants to be a blonde bomb shell so she got bigger breast as well as many facial surgeries -- Lisa Bloom: But here’s a problem I have we that. Have we lost sight of diversity and beauty? Do we all have to look like Barbie dolls, skinny blonde, big boobs, small butt? I mean, that doesn’t work. And there are other beautiful women of all colors, of all shapes and sizes, and the more we have plastic surgery to make everybody look exactly the same is then we’re— Female: No, I think men like a wide range of looks. I think we as women trying—we try to look like the airbrush flavor of many ideals. It’s not the men’s fault like you said, men just like women. Dr. Jim Sears: No, but still what makes a woman sexy is more how she acts and how she thinks versus how she looks. Dr. Travis Stork: Can we revamp this now at least to some extent? Yes, men may -- some men might like larger breast but men, we’re not obsessed with big breasts and we’re not necessarily obsessed with breast size. It really does come down to a lot more than just that. So women who think they can just go get a breast augmentation and everything’s going to be great, I think there’s a problem with that. Angela Shelton: Yes, this is not equal personality.
