Wisconsin Dells - the Water Park Capital of the World Bennett Watt: This is the number one tourist attraction in Wisconsin with an amusement for everyone. You can see water run uphill at the wonder spot or ride it down hill in one of the resorts over 200 water parks, indoors and out. This is the Water Park capital of the world. Steve Shattuck: Right now we’re in downtown Wisconsin Dells and Wisconsin Dells has been one of the biggest tourist destinations in the Midwest for about a 150 years. We’re actually celebrating our zest for centennial this year, so we’re very happy to be part of almost every family’s vacation plans in the mid west. Wisconsin’s Dells is actually become known as the Water Park capital of the world, we’re home to both America’s largest indoor and outdoor Water Parks and also have more than 200 water slides for people to cool them down. So we really have our indoor strikes. While the Water Parks of the big draw now it was originally a very different water attraction that first was it was a 150 years ago. The Wisconsin River bisects the community and there are beautiful towering sand stone blocks, it dissects the Wisconsin River at this particular junction that is called the Dells, hence the name at Wisconsin Dells. We estimate that just over 3 million visitors come to Wisconsin Dells each year from all over the United States and we really see the license plates from all over America when you look at the parking lots of some the attractions here. People certainly come for the fantastic roller coaster that really stay for all the other fun things to do whether it be the really great fun shops and down town at Wisconsin Dells or his name is water ski shores or just to buy anything that can really keep a family’s appetite wet for the entire stay in Wisconsin Dells. Bennett Watt: American’s largest Water Park is here of course over 40- water slides plus wave pools, water player is and two endless rivers. It’s all about water in the Dells. Tim Gants: Well there’s five million gallons of water is splashed around in to begin with so that makes it a real special all at 70 acres and we’ll have a great variety of rides the entire family to view. Almost a dozen rides will be pair of family will get in at two and they have to enjoy our ride together and we have a great family outing.
